Job Description
Churchie is seeking a passionate and engaging Preparatory School Teacher (Japanese Language) to join our team on a part-time (0.4 FTE), fixed-term basis. The role involves delivering high-quality Japanese language programs that foster curiosity, cultural understanding and a love of learning in young students. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the successful candidate will contribute to the academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the Preparatory School, supporting the wellbeing and development of each boy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong pedagogical practice, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to contributing positively to the School’s values-driven community.

Demonstrated experience teaching Japanese in a primary or preparatory school setting, with strong curriculum knowledge.
Proven ability to design engaging, differentiated learning experiences that support diverse student needs.
Strong classroom management and pastoral care skills, with a student-centred approach.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with colleagues, students and families.
Confidence integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Commitment to contributing to the broader life of the School, including co-curricular and community activities.
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration and valid working rights in Australia are essential.
