Job Description
Faculty Assistant – Arts (Years 7-12)
This is a part-time (3 - 4 days a week), term-time (38 weeks) position with a commencement date of Term 3, 2025.
The successful applicant will be an energetic and motivated staff member, keen to provide high-quality support role for teaching and learning to the Arts Faculty comprising the Visual Arts, Film & Television and Drama Departments. This role will work closely and under the direction of the Teachers of the Arts Faculty, Head of Department, and the Head of Faculty – Arts.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience and/or interest in the creative arts, preferably including similar administration position within a school environment or other comparable workplace
Sound knowledge of MS Office Products. Knowledge of Photoshop is desirable, but not essential
An understanding of financial administration practices including dealing with external suppliers, invoices, purchase orders and tracking against budgets
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to assist with the organisation and coordination of events
Professional writing and verbal communication skills
A high degree of flexibility in their approach to dealing with staff and students
Experience in managing resource inventory
Willingness to support the spiritual, community and co-curricular life of the School
Current working rights for Australia
Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a current Working with Children Check – Blue Card or be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers
