Job Description

Are you passionate about the great outdoors and inspiring young minds? We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Outdoor Education Instructors to join our team! As part of our Vision Valley Team, you'll accompany our Year 9 students in in unique co-educational expeditions.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with the experiential programme at the Vision Valley campus.
  • Be a leader on the expeditions and solo experience.
  • Oversee student duties as required.
  • Assist with the administration of medication as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive atmosphere that supports boys in a residential setting.
  • Ensure the efficient handover of students to Pymble and Residential staff as needed.
  • Manage potential hazards in the lodges and implement safety protocols.  

Availability:

  • Term 2 Program:
    • 26 April - 22 May
  • Term 4 Program:
    • 18 October - 13 November

Activities you'll assist with:

  • Oversee the daily on-site outdoor education activities 
  • Lead student expeditions and solo experiences
  • Administer routine medications as required 
  • Work with the Head of Programme to set the tone throughout the student

Qualifications:

  • A knowledge of and qualification in education, more specifically outdoor education would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to support the broader spiritual, community and cocurricular life of the school.
  • Current working rights for Australia.
  • Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a current and valid Queensland Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
