Churchie is seeking applicants for the following role:
Residential Boarding House Assistant
This role is an exciting opportunity for those studying, or new to teaching, and have a desire to gain experience in this prestigious, forward-thinking and high-achieving school. Each Resident Tutor is attached to one specific House and is an important member of the School pastoral team under the guidance of the Housemasters and Director of Boarding.
Desired Skills and Experience
The main purpose of a Boarding House Assistant is to provide pastoral care and academic support to boarders. Duties include assisting with academic tutoring and must participate in the recreation programme as supervisors of the boarders. It is encouraged for the Boarding House Assistants to also involve themselves in the School’s extensive cocurricular programme.
This role is required to live on-site, and will be provided with board and lodging in lieu of payment (accommodation is provided year-round and all meals are provided during term-time). Boarding House Assistants will be required to work average weekly hours up to 12 in cases where access to board and lodging is provided for at least 48 weeks per year.
All staff at Churchie are expected to support the philosophies of the School, must either hold or be able to obtain a Blue Card.
