Job Description
As a volunteer for Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie) in East Brisbane, you will be part of the Water Polo community, providing essential operational support for the programme. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the development of the programmes operations and logistics. Responsibilities will include:
Assist with the coordination and organisation of water polo events, trainings, and games.
Support coaches and the Director of Water Polo with logistical tasks such as equipment setup, transportation, and team communication.
Collaborate with the coaches, parents and students to ensure smooth operations during training sessions and matches.
Engage with students and liaise with parents in a supportive capacity to enhance their overall experience within the programme.
Upholding the values and standards of Churchie while representing the school during water polo activities.
This volunteer position provides an excellent chance to be involved in the vibrant water polo community at Churchie while making a meaningful impact on young athletes' sporting journey.
Desired Skills and Experience
Passionate about water polo and supporting young athletes
Previous experience in logistics, operation/administration or event support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Understanding of health and safety protocols and procedures related to GPS sporting programmes
Availability to commit to the required season period
