Job Description

Are you passionate about the great outdoors and inspiring young minds? We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Outdoor Education Instructors to join our team! As part of our Outdoor Education Team, you'll facilitate high-quality, hands-on learning programs for Year 6 to Year 10 boys, grounded in contemporary educational thought and research.

What You'll Do:

  • offer professional guidance, manage potential hazards, and implement safety protocols
  • organise logistics such as transportation, meals, gear, and compliance
  • the daily operations while on program

Availability:

  • Term 1 Programs:
    • Year 7 & 8: 3rd Feb - 7th Mar
    • Year 6: 17th Mar - 28th Mar
  • Term 2 Programs:
    • Year 8: 5th May - 30th May
  • Term 3 Programs:
    • Year 9: 14th Jul - 8th Aug
    • Year 9: 18th Aug - 22nd Aug
  • Term 4 Program:
    • Year 10: 10th Nov - 4th Dec

Qualifications:

  • Wilderness First Aid qualification
  • Instructor and/or guide qualifications in one or more outdoor activities are highly desirable
  • HR or MR licence, and a knowledge of or interest in education 
  • Willingness to support the spiritual, community and cocurricular life of the School
  • Current working rights for Australia
  • Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a current and valid Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card
